Once a month, on a Sunday afternoon, a small circle of eight gathers in a healing herb garden in Margate — to open the heart, release what no longer serves, and listen to the quiet wisdom within.

The Cacao & Sound Healing Ceremony weaves together two ancient healing traditions:

Pure ceremonial-grade cacao prepared in the traditional Mayan way — exactly as taught to Sorrell by her Guatemalan teachers — and
An immersive hour of therapeutic sound healing with seven planetary gongs and sacred instruments.

Cacao gently opens the heart and softens the mind. Sound carries you deeper — into stillness, release, and integration. Together, they create something quietly extraordinary.

Who Is It For?

This ceremony is genuinely accessible to everyone. Complete beginners are warmly welcomed — there is nothing you need to know, do, or believe.

Whether you are navigating grief, burnout, emotional weight, or simply craving depth and stillness, this is a space made for you. Held in a circle of just eight people, it is intimate, safe, and unhurried.

What Happens in a Session

2:45 pm. Doors open. Arrive gently, take off your shoes, choose your mat.
3:00 pm. Gathering. We open the circle together with Poq'po, a gentle collective energy cleanse rooted in Andean and Mayan tradition.
3:05 pm. Setting intentions. We introduce ourselves, name what we are carrying, and call in the directions of the Mayan Medicine Wheel to anchor our sacred space
3:10 pm. Sharing the medicine. Pure, traditional ceremonial cacao is passed around the circle.
3:25 pm. Comfort break. A brief pause to stretch and settle in.
3.30 pm. 1-hour immersive sound healing. Lie back and let go. You will be carried through a deep soundscape of planetary gongs, Himalayan singing bowls, and sacred instruments — designed to quiet the mind, release emotional tension, and integrate your intentions.
4:30 pm. Return and close. A gentle, unhurried space to return to everyday awareness and integrate your experience. We aim to close between 4:45 and 5:00 pm.

Our Sound Sanctuary

Our ceremony space is a bespoke wooden cabin inside a healing herb garden in Cliftonville, Margate — warm-lit, intimately arranged, and intentionally set apart from the outside world.

As you rest during the sound journey, the resident garden birds often weave their song into the ceremony, deepening the feeling of being held by nature. Everything is provided: mats, blankets, pillows and water. Just bring yourself.
