Shamanism is a philosophy, a way of seeing and sensing the world around us and within us. The Shaman's Way encompasses many spiritual and healing practices from around the world. Our main focus is in Mayan Shamanism, including the Ancient Initiations known as the Munay Ki Rites passed down by the Q’ero Shamans and The Four Winds Society. The Shaman's Way involves awakening your awareness, through both initiations and practical methods, as we work with the spirit world and your inner world or subconscious to facilitate personal transformation, healing, and guidance. It includes sacred rituals, ceremonies, initiations, sound healing, plant medicines, meditations and the use of various shamanic tools, creating a holistic path to awakening and well-being.

This course is designed for all spiritual seekers, regardless of prior experience or knowledge in shamanism. It's a welcoming space for beginners and those with a background in the field.
We encourage a diverse range of participants, as this gifts us so much flavour to our sacred circles and ceremonies. We will each bring a unique perspective to our collective consciousness, we appreciate diversity.

Our upcoming group commences in October 2026 and concludes in October 2027.

We meet on a Friday once a month. We will begin our day together at 10 am and close our ceremonial circle at 4 pm.

The course covers a wide range of shamanic topics, including Mayan Medicine Wheel teachings, the Munay Ki Rite Initiations, you'll learn how to create a Mesa or medicine bundle, learn shamanic visionary and healing techniques, how to make and use plant spirit medicines, explore shamanic journeying methods, connect with your spirit guides, learn sacred meditations, discover ancient shamanic ceremonies, benefit from powerful gong and drum healing experiences, and so much more!
  

The course includes live sessions that follow a structured format involving teachings, initiations, sacred ceremonies and rituals, personal work, healing practices including sound healing, and group discussions. 

The schedule may vary depending on the theme we explore, but a typical session includes morning wisdom teachings, plant spirit medicines and initiations from Sorrell, and in the afternoon we focus on connecting deeply with spirit, healing and ceremonial work.
 

The Mesa, also known as a Medicine Wheel or Medicine Bundle, is a collection of sacred stones that represent the directions and spiritual allies that will assist you in your personal and professional shamanic practice. 

Your Mesa serves as a living memoir and a guide, reminding you of your journey's progress, your innate gifts, and messages from the spirit, and providing direction for your continued expansion and manifestation of future dreams. These sacred stones act as a bridge between the worlds of our earthly life and spiritual life. Imbued with healing energy, becoming essential tools for your self-healing, divination, and spiritual connection. 

Your Mesa is a living being - it is a deeply magical and mysterious being, rich with connections to the cosmos. A teacher, a guide, a healer, a multidimensional truth seeker, a pathfinder and a reality weaver.

I will guide you through this process on our first ceremony day together. You will source 12 sacred stones from wild spaces, representing the directions and allies we invoke during the course. Additionally, you will receive one stone as you complete the journey, chosen uniquely for you by Sorrell, symbolising your connection to the Great Spirit and your Munay Ki Master Status.

Yes, the course includes opportunities for one-on-one mentoring and support if needed.

If you are called to do more inner work than the course entails and feel the need for more support, you can book a personalised 1-2-1 session separately from the group activities. Our chats are always free, and I am readily available to address any concerns or questions you may have. For more in-depth healing work, such as shamanic healing, there may be a fee associated with these sessions.
 


Additionally, through this course platform, you can connect with your fellow participants, share your experiences, and receive support from our nurturing tribe. Your healing journey is our collective one, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
 

Yes, there is a dedicated private group chat forum where participants can connect, share experiences, and provide mutual support throughout the course.


You'll need a journal for recording your experiences and insights. Specific materials for ceremonies and rituals will be suggested but are optional and can also be sourced in nature, such as sacred stones, feathers and herbs for smudging, all essential materials will be gifted to you as a part of the course.

If you find yourself unable to attend any of our live sessions or want to repeat aspects to fully integrate - we've got you covered! We will provide you with supporting videos, recordings, and written materials that will allow you to access the content from the session and work through it at your own pace.

The only live elements that are not possible to share authentically via a virtual service are the Munay Ki Rites. If you miss a live session we can gift you any 'missing' rites the next time you attend.

While it is certainly possible for you to complete the majority of the intellectual and practical elements of the course independently and virtually, we don't encourage this - as being in the healing circle is part of the magic and the healing process. This way, you can fully immerse yourself in the training and receive the maximum benefits.


We are working on creating more online courses that do not require you to be in a certain place at a certain time. So if the place and the time don't work for you, please sign up for our mailing list if you wish to learn more about upcoming evolutions.

This course is primarily designed for personal growth, healing, and spiritual development. While it provides valuable skills and knowledge, it does not, on its own, lead to a professional certification or qualification, but it will do if you choose to continue on the practitioner path with Plant Spirit Medicine Woman. 

Completing the course can lead to profound personal transformation, spiritual awakening, and the development of shamanic skills.

Participants report increased self-awareness and self-love, profound healing, and a powerful life-enhancing connection to the spiritual realm. In short, participants tell us it is life-changing and has gifted them more than they could have possibly imagined.

As an additional benefit - you can initiate others in the Munay Ki Rites once you have received the final Creators Rite. Once we heal ourselves, and activate our gifts, we can use our new tools and awareness to help heal others too!

Participants must be at least age 18 to enrol. But there are other events that we offer that are accessible for those under 18s such as our community drum circle and cacao ceremonies.
 

Yes, this course is safe for pregnant individuals and those with most other health considerations.

Your mental health is a priority, therefore if you have a history of psychosis this course may or may not be suitable for you, and is worthy of discussion before you commit.
